Meet the Owner
There is more wisdom in your body than in your deepest philosophy.
Hello and so nice to meet you. My name is Tammy and I am the owner and therapist of Spiritually In Tune. My journey into massage therapy began back in September 2012 as I started school at Ontario College Of Health and Technology(OCHT). Through the years of school, I studied human anatomy and physiology in depth, along with pathology, pathophysiology and orthaopedic assessments, which I have to say I loved the most.
While during my journey at OCHT, I also studied further into anatomy and physiology by attending a course on cadavers, at Western, where I spent time learning anatomy visually and truly physically, which changed me forever. It allowed me to see the body in a whole different level and have a completely new understanding and appreciation for this beautiful piece of machinery that's been created for us to use on this journey.
From this point I started to donate time at Bob Kemps Hospice helping to perform light body work to patients asking to receive treatment or just time. This taught me a lot about life, dignity and respect and whether you’re on your way in or you have filled up in life and you’re on your way out, everyone is deserving, no matter which level you are on. After some time had passed I graduated successfully in May 2014.
After Graduating from OCHT I decided to go back and re-attend to receive my aromatherapy aroma touch certificate for essential oils which allowed me to understand how essential oils are an important part in our lives. They help relieve the simplest things from stress while getting deep into the system and boost our immune systems with vitality.
Around the spring of 2015 I decided that I wanted to move forward and add another modality of health to my training so I started to study reflexology with the Ontario College of Reflexologist and spent time with a wonderful man named Shanti, who taught me more in-depth, that not only do the reflexes end in the feet but so does the connection to the soul. We must take good care of them in order to receive the best we can for my mother earth. I then graduated with a certificate in foot reflexology.
While going through all of the studies in school I have always been in the study of life. I’ve practiced shamanic healing and shamanism since I was a young child. I have always had spirituality in my life, which is been a great key to my success.
One of my most memorable moments was starting with one of the first female Reiki masters to ever be recognized in Japan and begin my studies in traditional Komyo Reiki Kai which is now reiki-do. She taught me the dance between youth and wisdom. A very classy, unforgettable woman.
I begin to understand so many more meanings to life with the help of her healing hands guiding me. For that I say thank you to all the people who walked into my life and allowed me to no help all of my clients in need. Thank you for taking the time to get introduced to me. I look forward to working with you and making our connection deeper.
Till then, stay blessed.
Never in my life have I ever felt so relaxed. I just finished my treatment with Tammy and will absolutely be booking again.
I recently had a massage from Tammy and I will never see another masseuse again. Her hands are INCREDIBLE and the positive energy she gives off brightened my entire day.
